S.24

Mon 27 - Fri 31 July 2026

Primary textile techniques are processes that create durable structures from thread-like material with little or no auxiliary materials and equipment. Dense or light textiles, flat or freely worked in space, have been created for thousands of years in all cultures and parts of the world. Regardless of whether a single thread, two or many are involved in creating the structure, the possible results are astonishingly diverse and harbour considerable creative potential.
The basics of techniques from the areas of hooking, interlacing, knotting and braiding are taught. The question of what the techniques were and still are used for accompanies our practical work. We will work with various materials and create a collection of samples to enable us to continue working freely at home.
