S.08

Tue 21 - Fri 24 July 2026

New Blue reinterprets traditional paper-making techniques through textile recycling. Instead of using paper pulp, discarded jeans are hand-cut into small pieces, shredded, and poured onto a fine mesh stretched over a wooden frame. As the denim fibers are released and dried, they bond together like paper, forming a handcrafted, recycled non-woven textile. This jeans fleece is then embroidered with industrial machines to reinforce the material.
The workshop brings together ancient and innovative techniques to create textiles that carry the memory of their former lives. Using natural fibers, varied colors, and mixed materials, each piece develops unique, unexpected patterns that tell a story of what it once was while becoming something entirely new.
