Clothes of Curiosity
Objects between clothing and sculpture
Tue 21 - Fri 24 July 2026
Many a wardrobe is already a treasure trove, but the greatest treasures can be found in old clothing bins and textile collections. Many discarded items may look unimpressive, have holes or have gone out of fashion. We give them a new lease of life and transform them into textile sculptures that take up space and change it. We cut, sew, turn and join the garments. Inside and outside, they invite encounters, speak to us with their gestures and confuse us. They hang, wrap around, block paths or bring people into contact with each other. Can we free ourselves from familiar cuts and postures? Who actually determines where the front and back are? We question norms and habits - and allow textiles themselves to become living beings.
