Embroidered Photos – playful realisation of hand embroidery based on photographs

The course focuses on photographs and cropped images. Starting with composition and details, various methods will be shown to enhance and creatively expand photographs through hand embroidery. We will work with photos that are first transferred onto fabric, as well as photographs on paper that can be embroidered with suitable stitches.
During the practical work, basic hand embroidery stitches are repeated, so beginners can participate without any problems. Depending on interest and experience, more complex or experimental embroidery techniques can also be tried out and deepened.
Group of participants:To all interested parties who fancy new perspectives on embroidery, all age groups are welcome
Requirements:: none, but also for people With prior knowledge, the course is suitable.

Course times:Mon-Sat: 09:00–13:00 and 14:30–18:00, Sun: 09:00–13:00

Born in 1992, textile designer, lives and works in Leipzig. Particular focus on the connection of traditional handicraft techniques and modern interpretations, experimental material investigations, and development of innovative manufacturing technologies.
