In this course, we will transform corn husks into lampshades or bags in various designs, and build upon the basic course to create more complex shapes. We will prepare the corn husks, twist them into a cord, stretch this cord onto wooden forms, and then knot and weave them to create unique functional objects.
The technique involves a very old craft that takes advantage of the incredible resilience and stability of corn stalks.
