W01

Fri 02 – Sun 04 October 2026

Working with bioplastics and organic binders opens up a range of creative possibilities in the context of sustainable textile design – from the production of transparent, plastic-like materials to the recycling of fabric and fibre scraps.
In this course, we will delve into the world of organic binders such as alginate, methylcellulose, and chitosan. Alongside fundamental recipes, application possibilities, and material properties, the focus will be on practical experimentation: we will try out techniques like working on three-dimensional forms, explore structures, and develop our own material combinations. The aim of the course is to create a small personal material library with recipes, as well as to design a decorative, three-dimensional object.

Group of participants: all interested parties aged 14 and over
Requirements: Experimental spirit, bring your own textile materials for recycling if desired (without a high synthetic fibre content)
Number of participants: Max. 10 people
