Stencil printing on fabric and paper - and what can be created from it
Mon 27 - Fri 31 July 2026
Stencil printing is a technique that offers diverse and surprising design possibilities. This ranges from graphically precise printing results to material experiments. What do I need to bear in mind when making a stencil? How can I convert my own design into a print sample, how do I achieve a clean print result and what do I need to bear in mind when printing on different fabrics with different materials?
You will learn to understand the structure of a pattern and to design a surface with a single motif. Repeating the pattern of your own design is also part of this course. We also work with textile reserve techniques, which can be realised particularly well with stencil printing. The resulting prints offer various possibilities for further processing. We will bind a pattern book and use folding and cutting techniques to give individual patterns a spatial dimension.
