To bring the Textile Culture Haslach summer symposium to a cosy close, DJ Joel Isaac Black provided the right atmosphere at the Mühlviertel oil mill.
The US-born, Berlin-based musician arrived with his vinyl records and presented pleasant ambient-jazz-blues-mellow moods on a two-to-three-hour listening journey. A relaxed „vibe” was created where guests could meet, chat and enjoy themselves casually.
Building on over two decades of passionate work at the intersection of global music scenes – as a DJ, live performer, curator, producer, journalist, and record shop manager – Joel Isaac Black has established himself as a unique music facilitator. Born in Texas to a blues musician, raised on harmonica and swamp guitar, and later re-baptised in Berlin's discotheques, he continues to travel the world today in search of uplifting musical moments.
The relaxing music rounded off the course weeks and at the same time provided a wonderful welcome for the guests of the Haslach get-together.
